The prestigious Honorary Dual Citizenship Award is bestowed upon a TPA member who commands a good understanding of American/Canadian history, culture and politics. Helps clarify misinterpretations and misunderstandings between Americans and Canadians.

The member should embody the very spirit of The Peace Arch, "May These Gates Never Close".

This award will only be granted according to the following guidelines;

1) Any member may nominate another member for this award, providing the nominated member has exceeded 2500 posts.
2) The voting period will be open for 7 days, no early closing of the voting thread is permitted.
3) The nominated member must be active on TPA for at least the past 30 days.
4) Nominated members have the option to refuse the completion of the voting process up until the end of the seventh day. Once the seven days have expired, the nominated member cannot "opt out" of the voting process.
5) A minimum requirement of 25 'YES' votes are required.
6) The vote must be accompanied by an explanation in the members' view why the nominated member deserves the award via post in the voting thread. If the posts in the voting thread do not match the 'YES' votes, the nomination will be voided and the nominated member will not be eligible for nomination for another 30 days.
7) Upon satisfaction of requirement 5 & 6, the Administrative staff will hold a provide vote to determine the eligibility and consideration of the award. All active members of the Administrative staff will be required to vote. The administrative staff can take up to 30 days from the last day of voting to announce their decision.
8) The administrative staff must be unanimous in their decision, otherwise the nomination will be voided and the nominated member will not become eligible for nomination for another 6 months.
9) If the nominated member is awarded the Honorary Dual Citizenship Award, in addition to the award itself, he or she, shall receive a very special gift from TPA via mail from a third party retailer.
