    I have a mouse problem!

We've got a mouse, it keeps eating the bait and doesn't set off the traps. I'm using the oldschool wooden traps from the buck store. I've never had a mouse before, and I need to know how to get rid of one. By "get rid" I mean kill it.

...and no one is allowed in my thread with their animal rights views. I love animals as much as the next guy, but mouse shit can be dangerous and I don't want my pup's or myself at risk of getting sick because it's inhumane to kill rodents. Humane traps are not an option, this little bastard needs to die.

    Death to mouse, or stfu.

I don't know how you're setting your trap up, but, two tips.

    1. set your trap up so that a mouse running along the wall runs across the pedal. They're more likely to trip it that way.

    2. bait with peanut butter... the mouse can't just remove the bait that way... it will stick around to lick at it, and is more likely to trip it.

lol. well, if it obviously likes PB, set up a bucket trap... you can find ideas for them via google.

5 gallon pail, chunk of dowel, coffee can, and wood for a ramp so the mouse can get up to the pail.

put the coffee can on the dowel, and suspend it over the pail so that it spins freely. Coat it in peanut butter. Fill the bottom of the pail with water.

The mouse climbs up, jumps onto the baited can, it spins, the mouse falls in, and drowns. Or, leave the water out and dump the mouse somewhere in the morning. But, if you get more than one mouse before morning, they tend to fight and eat one another.

Jesus that's gross. I think it's only one. I found some mouse poop in the garbage cupboard (no where else, and I've inspected everything). Every day I clean it and only find one or two little poops (after he eats the peanut butter buffet we graciously leave out for him on a trap). I've seriously never seen a mouse in a home before. They aren't like roaches right? Like if you find one you have thousands?

That one looks like sweet death for my little intruder. Do they sell those in Canada?

I've had a single mouse once before. But, it wouldn't have stayed that way if we hadn't gotten to him soon.

remember to make sure you food stuff is up and sealed. Wash any dishes that come out of lower cupboards until you're sure you're mouse free.
