I mailed away for this camera , well , because they didn't have any in stores around here. Under BSD's advice I went with this model . The body is solid and comes automatically with a company 2 yrs warranty
It came with a half inch thick manual ....all in english ....meaning , it's a HALF INCH manual !!!!........lol.
Having got a tooth pulled out the same daygot this meant I wasn't really motivated for scratching my head.
It has a huge lcd screen which is mainly to see your settings. My first thing I had to learn was navigating through the menu
I want ENGWIUSH DAMN IT!!!!
After I realized that I had to accept the changes , this didn't appear anymore. D'OH!
Didn't play too much with it. Wanted for BSD to see it and play around with it ............Imp I know what your thinking :shifty:
First thing I had to find was the flash option , how to turn it off !!!!
The navigating got quite easy to learn, now it was to learn what the options did.
A few things stood out as options . Metering range, either the full 16 zone or down to the 'spot' on. That went for focus and aperature, 2 different option. The multi shot option too, remembering to turn it off. Altho found the option to have which changes 'settings' to keep when I turn off the camera.
By accident I found a dust detection. It takes a long exposed shot and you can see in black and white if you have dust . That and some kind of vibrating thing inside that seems to clean the dust off , soooo cool
To fully master the manual aspect of it I will be learning each in themes . The wonderfull thing about digital , you only waste batteries not film. Basically don't get over whelmed by it globaly and divide the learning process of it in small steps .
BSD took some great shots yesterday as I let him hog the camera , so bug him for it ok?
OH BTW BSD the pics came out great on my screen, not over saturated :blum:
