    Smile Tweaking Some Autumn Photos

I was hoping that a member of our The Obscura BETA community could assist me.

I and some friends would like to take a series of photos in downtown Vancouver of ourselves against autumn backdrops. Would it be possible for us to make the photographs black-and-white, with the exception of the leaves and our scarves? How challenging would this be for an amateur, and how might I go about making the changes (i.e., what software would you recommend)?

I did this as a quick example with paint shop pro 9. All I did was use an airbrush to change the target (target being the girl)

You should be able to achieve better results with a bit of time and patience.

Another example is the beatles pic, sorry about the size. Note I left the scarf colour. Very simple procedure Chris!
