Anyone who reads the post can answer the question.... I didn't ask anyone specifically.

I've never ignored any answers... I didn't see anyone answer any questions. (And I don't think that anyone is obligated to answer anything that I ask.... often they are rhetorical in nature, since I am quite certain that no one can tell me why God exists but Osiris doesn't, for example)

I think most people of faith choose their faith based upon what they are exposed to... like the link I provided contends as well. It has nothing to do with which god or gods are actually real, because that is impossible to know... but a case of time and space.

God exists now as much as Osiris did during that time.

Sure you havent, Vile. Because every person "of faith" loves it when their beliefs are compared to "flat earthers theories" and "moon is made of cheese theories". Why would anyone take offense to that?
If there were any evidence that one is fact and the other not, then the comparison is quite valid. There is as much evidence of God as there is of ghosts.

Tell me, is the opinion that homosexuality is a conscious choice distasteful to you?
Difference being that there is evidence to the contrary. To say that it is (at least partially) genetic can be backed up by science.

Perhaps Joe, it's because you have made some irrational and derogatory statements that apply to persons who don't follow your sense of logic, and you do it right up front. This dissuades anyone from wanting to address your questions or explain their POV. You make it clear that you'll ridicule the respondent if they don't have like-minded thoughts that you have. It seems more like you're shopping for an argument rather than looking for real answers. I'm surprised you don't see this.

And that really was my only point.

And what of people like me who will readily tell you that the article you linked is right, that it's largely situational/regional in nature, but that it doesn't really matter since at the core, they're all different words for the same thing?

I know that point of view is not a unique one online, or in the real world. I find it absurd to hear someone imply that they're never met someone like that or discussed with them online.

If it was a provable fact...... it would not be called belief.
