Kathie Lee Gifford Slams Pagans On The Today Show (take 2)

I wanted to make sure I painted a fair picture of what the Pagan community is thinking. The following is two comments from 2 others of my list.

Ok I really want to talk about this because I think its important. People I really respect want to hear it and people Im close to in the tribe (Pagan mail group Im in.) are trying to help me through the anger.

Tam, Do not let ignorance get to you. That lets them win. I remember a
certain porta potty company that tried its best to ruin our event. Did ****
get mad, hell yea, but when **** gets angry, she makes things happen.
She wrote a little Rap (I mean C-Rap).. it is on the page somewhere.. She made
a humorous statement that still brings fear and annoyance to ***
Rentals....We made their lives a bit interesting... 13 verses of *** BEST.. On
radio stations and out of the mouths of local pagans seeing *** Trucks.. We
made them know that it was wrong to mess with us.. AAAAHHH, those were the
days...

Dont let some flake like Kathie Lee get any more of your precious energy
that she is due.. It just is not worth it. I wrote my scathing letter, signed
my petition and I am done with it.. Oh yea, I wont watch her. OH, wait, I
did not watch her BEFORE that. I can not take a newscaster seriously who
GIGGLES.......

I hope someday she meets a "dirty nasty" pagan fresh from the hottest
slinkiest festival possible. I hope that Pagan gifts her with an act of kindness
that makes her heart melt..... Maybe then she will see that dirty, stinky or
needing a bath after a festival, we are people, and she should take care
before generalizing us.....or ANYONE else as a part of journalistic
responsibility.

I received this in the mail a bit ago. My friend has been talking to me, quoting OZZY of all people "to fight each other, there's no winning, we must fight the hate" Its not the Pagan way to hate. Yes, dont let people bowl you over but fight hate with Love. Write your letters, sign your petitions..............but then let it go and bless.

Im going to ask permission to share the url of the song she talks about. It was a passive way of fighting bigotry and it was hysterical.

Ive received about 4 emails today from other Pagans. I am astonished by the parallel of their stories to mine. One girl had a cross burned in her front yard. I thought I was so unique in the persecution of my experiences. And yet these woman walk on in Love. They sign their petitions , write their letters, Compose their ditties (I'll post once I get permission another was written about NBC) and they walk on in their truth. I am humbled by their resolute to live their truth.

Im quickly learning hate will never go away. Some people will always hate what they fear. Not everyones like me. Willing to work on the darkness and bring it into the light. Willing to see the other side. Bigots and ignorance will never go away.

Punctured tires, burning crosses, spit in the face..............nope it will always be this way because some arent willing to make a difference except a few persecuted Pagans and a few true Christians.
