Begging for money

Yep.. I am. But it's not for me. My friend Fred from Ohio (someone I went to University with and DIDN'T sleep with) is currently in London, England with his fiancee Gillian. Gillian lives in London and was diagnosed with cancer last year. In the fall, she had extensive surgery to remove most of her bowel. In a week or so she will start chemo.

As a visitor, Fred can only stay until March 31. This won't see her to the end of her treatments. Additionally, as neither of them can work, there is no savings left. Gillian's health care is free but they still have to pay rent, eat, etc and travel back and forth to the medical facilities. She does get a small stipend that covers that.

Fred needs $1000 to process a form that will let him stay in England to help her. This form would also allow him to work, maybe even be hired as her caregiver. He could see her through to recovery.

Gillian has no family. Fred is all she has. If he has to return to the US on March 31 she will be utterly alone.

I've set up a website and a facebook group for support....you can donate via paypal, buy something at cafe press or just sign the bulletin board I set up for them. ANYTHING helps.
