JESUS was GAY - according to the gospel of SIR ELTON JOHN.

The singer makes his controversial claim about the Lord in a new US interview that will enrage America's bible belt.

Elton, 62, declares as he pours out his heart to a magazine: "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

He adds: "Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don't know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East - you're as good as dead."

My mom and a friend wrote a musical/cantatta about Jesus having an affair with Mary Magdelene and they just about ran her out of town on a rail. I can't imagine how this will fly in the bible belt.

Funny how Liberal types who doubt Jesus even existed as a man let alone was the Son of God, purport He was either a user of prostitutes, secretly married and now a homosexual. Of course, I guess it doesn't matter much if the Liberal believes in the person they label.

What matters is that the person is long dead and can't dispute it and examples of newly tagged gays range from Einstein to Alexander the Great to Lawrence of Arabia to Sir Isaac Newton to Abraham Lincoln and the list goes on and on.

In fact, type in the name of almost any famous but dead historical figure and there is some body of evidence submitted to support or definitively ascertain that the person was gay. This sort of historical revisionism is an absolute necessity if homosexuality is ever to be advanced in the same capacity that revisionism assuaged the German and Japanese conscious over WWII or changed the perception of the wealthy being robber barons to the business leaders of today.

Nope, it's all innuendo and speculation. I would guess that Jesus would have been a non-sexual man. I see no patterns in the writings about him that suggests he was either gay or straight. Who really cares?

The common belief was that he was stoned to death in AD 62 or 63 if I'm not mistaken.

I mean, it really doesnt matter--those that believe Jesus is the Christ are not particularly concerned about his sexuality so long as he wasnt easy or gay--but in a general way...while we may be nonfunctional or even noninterested, are people ever nonsexual?
